MAKOKOMO is a design brand and project of STUDIO MURMUR. It serves as a platform for us to explore the production, scale and distribution of things within rapidly changing environmental, economic and social contexts. This ‘dialogue’ results in these well-considered products that we bring directly to you for everyday living, working, and being.
We like the efficiency and scale of serial production and many of these pieces are manufactured that way. We also produce some limited runs and one-offs as we might find a process or collaboration that is better suited to smaller batches. All products are made in the USA working predominantly with materials and people nearby.
